Albert J. Chapman grew up in Hawthorne New York and began his insurance career following military service in the Pacific during World War II. Early in his career he held numerous positions with increasing responsibility on both the insurance company and insurance agency level. In 1950 he moved his family to Yorktown NY and in 1958 decided to open his own insurance agency in his dining room.

In 1960 Albert moved his office into Yorktown’s business district on Commerce Street. In the years to follow Albert built lasting business friendships with his clients and solid partnerships with nationally known insurance companies. His clients relied on him to provide sound advice and analysis of their needs and insurance products from companies that would live up to their expectations for service, reliability and value.

Albert believed in the importance of providing personal service to his community as well as his clients. He was among the founding members of the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He provided aid to those in need as the area representative of the Salvation Army, and would cheerfully ring the bell at a Salvation Army red kettle every year at holiday time. He was also very active in the Yorktown Rotary club. A community based service club made up of local professionals and business leaders.

Encouraged by his father, Robert Chapman now runs the agency continuing his father’s dedication to the business and community that he loved.

Robert Chapman: President

Robert began his insurance career in 1983. Under his father Albert's guidance he quickly began to develop a loyal book of business made up of diverse clientele. Since then Robert has been dedicated to continuing the business just as his father did, by building long term relationships of trust, professionalism and friendship with his clients. As a life long Yorktown resident Robert maintains strong ties to the community and understands the insurance needs of its residents, and local business owners.

In addition to his dedication to the success of The Albert J. Chapman Agency, Robert and his wife Lillian are active in their church and are passionate about contributing and volunteering for causes benefitting the elderly in their community. Drawing on the experience of caring for his parents Robert routinely offers advice and comfort to other "primary caregivers" on the journey of caring for aging parents with love and dignity. Time permitting Robert is also an avid golfer, amateur musician, and an antique and collectible car enthusiast.

Corrine Mason: Sales & Account Management

Corrine began her insurance career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in 1986 as a loss Control Specialist and went on to work for many large insurance companies in loss prevention an risk management roles. Corrine brings a strong insurance and business background to the team at Albert J. Chapman Agency and is a perfect fit to oversee the sales and account management responsibilities in the agency.

Corrine is a 25 year resident of Yorktown and as a working Mom knows what it is like to juggle important life issues. She understands the importance of reviewing your insurance protection as your family’s needs change even though it may not be at the top of your "to do" list. “I want to be the agent you can feel comfortable calling to answer any insurance question or concern". Corrine treats her clients like friends and believes in building client loyalty the old fashioned way.
